Luke & Kodi

What a beautiful couple and a fun surprise Luke & Kodi were. I usually try to visit with each and every bride before their wedding day to get to know them so I have a feel for what they are looking for. Well, with Kodi being from Louisana, I didn't get that opportunity. So, you can imagine my amazement when the big day arrived and I finally got to meet her. SHE WAS GORGEOUS! Every photographer's dream bride. And then to top it off, her groom...well, he wasn't too shabby looking either! LOL In addition to being a beautiful couple, they were fun, easy going, and up for anything. They had such great family and friends and it was truly a treat to share in their special day. Congratulations Luke and Kodi. I wish you and your little princess all the happiness in the world.

On my Honor

This fine young man has worked very hard and has earned the rank of Eagle Scout. If you're not aware, the rank of Eagle is the highest award that a young man in the Boy Scouting program can earn. It takes many, oodles of hours to pass off all the requirements to earn this prestigious award, and Derek was able to do it before he even turned sixteen. Congratulations Derek....you're awesome!

A fun Announcement

Leighton's mommy came by today to design her birth announcement. And, it turned out so dang cute. So, relatives, expect one in the mail shortly.

Zach + Robyn...

Engagement sessions are so much fun to do, especially at Fishlake with an absolutely gorgeous girl and a very handsome guy. Zach & Robyn were so fun to shoot and made the cutest couple. I hope you find some you love guys. Congratulations!

Welcome Leighton...

New little babies are such a treat to photograph. But little girls, with their darling hair bows, flowers, and tutu's are a real joy. Little Leighton was as good as gold and so patient with all the maneuvering we did to get her cute portraits. I think she got the best of both her mom and dad as she was absolutely darling. Congratulations T.J. and Jessica...she is simply beautiful. You just let all those grandma's and grandma great's spoil her rotten!

Introducing Matti Belle

This little darling was even cuter than her name...Matti Belle. She had a little aversion to the camera the first day we tried to shoot her, but the second time was the charm. She is definitely a beautiful little princess sent to soften the hearts of a house full of brothers. Guys...you don't stand a chance!

Miss Emillie Turns One...

I swear that it was just last week that I shot Emillie's newborn pictures. I know it wasn't a whole year ago... was it? Well, I think it was and even though she was a gorgeous baby, she is now even cuter as a one year old. And, I think she knows it...just look at her dip her little shoulder for the camera. Happy Birthday Miss Emillie!

Nielsen Kids...

Well, I'm sure there are other cute Nielsen kids out there, but I just happened to shoot four of the best looking ones..in my humble opinion. They were all so different, yet so totally belonged to each other. You can tell each had their own personality, but they all shared that special Nielsen twinkle in their eye and those gorgeous smiles. It was pure magic when they all got the giggles at the same time!

Expectations...

Jessica and T.J. are expecting their first little bundle of joy and you can truly tell from their faces how loved this new little child will be. Jessica was absolutely glowing and looked so beautiful pregnant. This little one can't help but be born gorgeous...just look at her parents!

Back to Reality...(sigh)

Hawaii was everything I had hoped it would be...beautiful, relaxing, and breathtaking. I was tempted to stay as I could have easily adapted to the Hawaiian's laid-back lifestyle and the wonderful climate. But alas, I'm back home to my own little corner of paradise and feel so blessed to have been able to see another way of life. The only drawback to a vacation is being so far behind when you get home. So I'm off to play catch up...with a smile and a suntan!

A Much Needed Vacation

Our studio will be closed from Friday, May 15th through Monday, May 25th for a much needed vacation. I will have patchy cell phone service, but will return urgent calls when I can. If you have an emergency you can leave a message on my phone at 435-979-7400. If you are calling for an appointment, I will be back in the office on Tuesday, May 26th and would love to visit with you about scheduling on or after that date.

Please keep in mind that I no longer have any openings available in June and am now booking for July and August. Yes, it's looking like a crazy summer! I guess it's good to get the summer vacation out of the way early. There will be awesome tropical images coming soon!
