A Gorgeous Family

Meet the Petersons. Have you ever seen such a gorgeous looking family? I don't know whether it was the combination of colors they were wearing (gorgeous), their beautiful smiles and perfect teeth (gorgeous), their happy faces (gorgeous), awesome hair styles (gorgeous), the love and admiration they had for one another (gorgeous), or all of the above that makes this image scream...well..."A Gorgeous Family."

My FAV Announcement

Well, this just has to be the funnest birth announcement that I've ever designed. I sat down with Brealynn and she chose the fun colors, the awesome grungy texture, and the darling images of Shayde. Together we came up with what is now my absolute FAV announcement.

Back From Vegas

I'm finally home, after spending a week in Las Vegas to attend the WPPI (Wedding & Portrait Photographers International) event. It was AMAZING, INSPIRING, EDUCATIONAL, ENLIGHTENING, and EXHAUSTING all at the same time. I got a chance to break away from classes for an afternoon and had the wonderful opportunity to shoot some beautiful Vegas people, make some new friends, and visit the "Bone Yard," the final resting place for all the old neon signs. Now...back to reality, but with renewed energy and inspiration!

Hands

I once had someone tell me that you can tell a person's worth by their hands. He picked up my hands with my worn, unmanicured nails and said that he could tell I was a hard worker. I was embarrassed, but soon found he was offering a compliment. I started inspecting hands as I met people to see if they indeed had the worn, weathered hands of a hard working farmer; the pale, soft hands of an executive, the perfectly manicured hands of someone who is pampered; the thick chubby hands of a toddler. I love hands, all kinds of hands, and was thrilled when the Dalton family wanted a piece of art for their home of only their hands. It's one of my new favorites.

Filling up the Tank

Yesterday, I had the wonderful opportunity of meeting up with the great Julie Williams of Impressions Studio and Gallery to attend the quarterly meeting of the IPPA (Intermountain Professional Photographers Association), where we were inspired by the wonderful talent of the Julie Klassmeyer. JK has a phenomenal talent and very successful business photographing babies and children. Her techniques are so fun and fresh and I walked away so inspired to reach in new directions and try fun creative things. I can't wait for my next toddler to walk through the door! It's great when your tank gets refilled and you're revved up and ready go full speed.

Meet Shayde Lynn

Meet Shayde Lynn, a five day old sweetheart, who is just absolutely darling. You can tell from the images that her mom and dad are so taken with her. She is their first and the first for her two sets of grandparents also. Can you say SPOILED? Thanks Brealynn and Chad for sharing her with me. I loved every minute of it.

Brittney's Bridals

Bridal sessions are so fun because the brides always look absolutely beautiful, they are so happy and excited to be getting married, and their dresses are amazing. Well, Brittney didn't disappoint me, in fact, I was pleasantly surprised to see that she not only brought along her groom (which makes such awesome images), but her rodeo gear including a hot pink lariat. I love images with personality. I can't wait for the weather to warm up when I'll get the opportunity to shoot her again in her wedding dress along with the other love of her life, her horse! Riley & Brittney's wedding day is March 14th.

Introducing Griffyn Jane

Meet little Griffyn Jane, an eight day old beauty who is just fresh from Heaven. She is an adorable mix of both her mom and dad, Rob & Julia, who are obviously so in love with her. She has the sweetest little personality and was by far the most patient newborn I've ever been lucky enough to photograph.
